  • GARY WHITE - LEAD pastoR

    gary@foundationgmc.org

I was born in Houston, Texas, and have always called Katy my hometown, that is until I came to Foundation as pastor in July 2016.  My wife, Rebecca, and my two daughters, Addison and Olivia, along with myself immediately felt at home among this family of faith.  We look forward to many years of service and ministry here in the Temple/Belton area.

I earned a bachelors degree from the University of Houston in 2002, and my M. Div degree at Perkins School of Theology in 2009.  Among the gifts and graces God has blessed me with are a strong emphasis on relationship building and a "people first" ministry focus.  I've also been told I have a wicked sense of humor, and try to live up to that reputation with shenanigans and general mischief making.

  • clinton sharp - youth PASTOR

    clinton@foundationgmc.org

I grew up in Central Missouri and came to know Christ when I was eight. My mom was always adamant about going to church, therefore I got to see God work in my life and be involved in a great youth group. I sensed God calling me to full-time ministry when I was in high school, and accepted that calling whole-heartedly. I went to Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO and majored in Biblical Studies. During college I met my wonderful wife Katie, and we were married in May 2004. In the fall of 2005 I started seminary at Baylor's George W. Truett Theological Seminary in Waco, TX. I graduated with my Master's of Divinity in May 2009 and started working at Foundation in August 2009.

I have a passion for students to know Jesus Christ for all that He is worth! I desire to focus my life on teaching, discipling, and leading students to rely on God's Word, the Holy Spirit, and a faithful Christian community. As a youth group, we spend a lot of time learning about God, how to live out our faith daily, and how to have a lot of fun! If you are a student come check us out anytime!

  • brenda rogers - DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

    brenda@foundationgmc.org

My passion is to lead others to intimately connect with God and others; to live a victorious, anointed life of faith in Christ vs a defeated life in the "survival mode" and to base every decision in my life on the Word of God. My purpose in life is to share Jesus and glorify the Father. My spiritual gifts are encouragement and teaching. I want to say or do only what God inspires and anoints. My music abilities include worship leader, songwriter, vocal, piano, organ, guitar, ukulele, melodica; traditional hymns and contemporary; private music teacher; private Christian and public school music teacher experience.

I was raised in a happy, Christian home and accepted Christ as my Savior at age 9. I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with my Music degree. I have one son, Jacob. He lives with his wife, Trish, and their 2 children in Florida.  I feel honored and blessed to be a part of the Foundation family.

  • Carol Green - Children's director

    carol@foundationgmc.org

I was born and raised in El Paso, Tx.  My family were not believers and my experience with Jesus began as a result of a friend inviting me to Vacation Bible School.  I began working with the Children’s Ministry in my church when I was not much more than a child myself.  As I was seeking to fill what I believed was God’s call, my first staff position in a church was a preschool coordinator.  My education came later in life as my call to fulltime ministry became more clearly defined.   Completing a B.A. in Christian Studies from Howard Payne University in 2000 I continued finding my place in God’s service focusing on Family, Youth and Children’s ministries.   While serving in various ministries in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, God provided me with the opportunity to complete my M.A.C.M. in 2012 at Baylor’s George W. Truett Seminary where I am currently working toward my D.Min.

With all the opportunity and education God has provided, my call is still to families in the local church.  The ministries within our FOUNDATION family are a wonderful place to fulfill my call.

We have seven grandchildren. Gayla and I moved to Temple in 1983 and joined Foundation in September of 1998. Gayla just recently retired from Scott & White, where she worked in Interventional Radiology.  She had been employed there since 1982.

  • janie wilkerson - administrative Assistant

    janie@foundationgmc.org

My given name is Karen Jane, but because my mother's side of the family called me Janie, that is how I introduce myself. I was born, raised and lived in West Virginia until 2006. My husband, John and I moved to Copperas Cove, Texas to be a support system for my son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Melinda Lanham, and our granddaughter, Emily. In July 2007 they blessed us with a grandson, Brennan. John and I are both retired from Verizon in West Virginia. John has worked at Lowe's since we moved to Texas, I cared for the grandkids until they started school and since then have been helping when they need. We all moved to Belton in 2015.

I attended Methodist churches growing up but not on a regular basis. I am so glad my mother's words to me before we moved were, "Find yourself a church!". I did just that. I joined Grace UMC in Cove and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I was active in Sunday School and Bible Studies and thank friends at Grace who supported and helped me grow in my faith. I was so happy to find Foundation when we moved so I would continue my faith journey. I am looking forward to working with Foundation's great staff and the church congregation in continuing my growth.
