next steps

The start of your discipleship journey here at Foundation has several distinct steps, represented by the functions shown below.  Each event represents a building block in the overall ministry of our congregation, and each being offered on a quarterly basis.  Childcare (birth-3 years) IS OFFERED AT EACH SESSION.

1) pizza with the pastor

PIZZA WITH THE PASTOR - for all new members & visitors interested in additional information about our church.  We start with a brief presentation of the history, vision and mission of Foundation, followed by an explanation of our church vows/expectations, and ending with a light lunch where the staff is available to address any questions or concerns. Childcare is provided at registration.

2) WORSHIP + 2

Worship, Plus Two

These three elements are the foundation of our membership expectations.

  • Worship - Worship is an important aspect of the Christian life. It is an opportunity to honor our God, and to gain encouragement from the community of faith. Each element of the weekly service is a unique part of the whole: our prayers help us align our souls with God, our praises give glory to God, the sermon is a message from God, the offering is our opportunity to acknowledge God’s goodness to us by returning a portion to Him, the invitation is our response to God, and the benediction is our challenge to go forth into our mission field.
  • Get In A Group - Since Life Groups are our primary vehicle for discipleship, we strongly encourage everyone to join a group. Our groups meet on almost every night of the week, and several meet on Sunday. All are off-campus, in member’s homes. Take a look at your schedule to see which meeting time is best for you, and then fill out the Life Group interest form. You can also contact the church directly and we will put you in touch with the leadership of the group you are interested in joining.
  • Serve - Our service is a response to God’s favor on us and our opportunity to be His hands and feet in the world. We have opportunities within our fellowship, in the surrounding community, and throughout the world. If you are not quite sure which would be the best fit for you, you can take the Spiritual Gifts Test; those results will be emailed to the staff who are available to discuss the results. In addition, we encourage you to fill out the STRIDE Guide, which combines a review of your spiritual gifts with your talents, individuality, dreams and experiences to form a picture of how God has fashioned you for service.  All of the options for service are listed, along with information explaining the ministry and person to contact for getting involved.

3) ministry safe training

MINISTRY SAFE - expecting that many of our adults will be interested in serving our children & youth ministries, we offer this required training on a quarterly basis.  It's important for every church to protect children, youth, and vulnerable adults from sexual abuse. But it's just as important to make sure all volunteers are protected.

Upcoming class: none.  Will be scheduled as needed.
