women's ministry

Encouraging, supporting and ministering to you...right where you are!

Our mission: to be mindful of God's special creation in every woman; to reach out in love to help others grow in their spiritual gifts; to help equip each other to know more about and grow closer to God.

A Women's Ministry Steering Team of 5-6 ladies has been seated in order to facilitate planning and coordination of events.  Each position makes use of a specific group of gifts and graces.  The women, their contact information, and their current responsibilities are:

Chair - Amy VanAkin, 248-390-0306

Fall Retreat - Kellie Tiner, 254-931-8920

Women's LIfe - Sherry Keener, 254-449-0770

Fundraising - Lee Ann Deal, 254-493-0250

Staff Liaison - Carol Senkel, 512-431-6886

Some of our events include:

Saturday, April 21st, 10am-noon

This is a time set apart to celebrate as women all the relationships that God has put in our lives....mothers, daughters, sisters, bosses, co-workers, friends...the guest list can be as varied as the women we walk through life with.  We are excited to announce that Debbie Frazee will be our guest speaker.  She brings a wealth of Biblical knowledge along with a passion for teaching others.  A delicious brunch will be served, and our table hostesses will have the space decorated with their finest.  If you would like information on being a hostess please contact Carol Senkel at 512-431-6886 (call or text).  If you would like to bring a food item, please visit this link. As you make plans to attend, please register so that we can adequately prepare to welcome you.

Our ladies are encouraged to participate in state, local & national conferences as a way to grow spiritually.  in 2016, we were blessed with having a nationally recognized conference right here in Temple: Fresh Grounded Faith.  Jennifer Rothschild and her team led us in worship and study of God's word.  We look forward to seeing what is offered in 2018.
