At Foundation, we believe that teaching our children about God is the most important thing we can do as parents. We share the church's vision of growing God's kingdom and becoming more like Christ. Our goal is to partner with you as your kids learn what it means to become the head, heart, and hands of Christ.

We also seek to provide fellowship, service, and outreach opportunities that offer your family a safe place to build memories and invite friends who may otherwise never have considered visiting a church. We offer many activities and events throughout the year.

While we believe the most effective spiritual education begins in the home, we happily offer supplemental classes that foster Biblical knowledge and character development on the path to true discipleship. Our classes incorporate object lessons, games, free play centers, crafts and more. We offer classes for the following age groups: PreK & Kinder, 1st-2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grade. All classes meet from 9-9:50am. Parents should check-in electronically at the kiosk in the Riley Center chapel before bringing their children to their classrooms.

While we at Foundation fully support worshiping together as a family and welcome children of all ages into our sanctuary (noises and wiggles and all), we also understand that many of you have a genuine need to connect with the sermon without distraction. During the 10am service, your PreK-2nd graders will have the option to leave before the sermon. We'll head next door to the Riley Center foyer for an engaging and age-appropriate message, and we'll bring your children back to you during the offering worship song.

Join us for CrossTraining, our midweek discipleship program for kids PreK-5th grade. Children will worship, pray, and serve together as they learn to be the head, heart, and hands of Christ. Nursery care is available for children aged 0-3. CrossTraining meets in the Life Center from 6:00-7:30pm. There are occasional Wednesdays off, so please be sure and check the calendar linked at the top of this page.

KidsRock, our children's choir, rehearses during CrossTraining on Wednesday nights and opens the congregation in worship on every 4th Sunday and/or at special services. The "performance" dates are listed on the current calendar, which is available in our Kids' Corner in the Life Center and as a download on this page. We hope you'll encourage your children to participate as we teach them to engage in authentic worship! KidsRock is open to children 4 and up.

We strive to provide a safe and caring environment where children receive their first glimpse of the love of their heavenly Father. We are a very family-oriented church and encourage parents to keep their kids in worship with them whenever possible. However, we also understand that there are times parents would prefer the opportunity to worship and study with the community without distraction. Our nursery accommodates children aged 0-3 and is open during both worship services and during the Sunday School hour.

What to Expect for Nursing Mothers

Mothers may nurse wherever they are most comfortable. If you desire a more private environment in which to nurse, please feel free to step in and use the gliders in our infant room.

For your convenience, there are infant changing tables and toddler potty seats in both the men's and women's restrooms in the Life Center. If you have any questions about our nursery policies, please contact Sharon Smith, our Director of Children's Ministries.

Children who participate in any activities with Foundation United Methodist Church must fill out a medical release form every year. The safety of the children in our care is very important to us. Please download the form, fill it out, and return it to Sharon.
