If you are a student who is 6th-12th grade then you belong here! Come join us for awesome fellowship, spiritual growth, and fun. To keep up to date about youth activities sign up for our monthly newsletter:

  • Collision

Join us every Sunday night from 6:30-8pm for Collision, our weekly youth group gathering for 6th-12th grade students. There will be games, announcements, videos, and a devotion that will help students understand who they are in the light of Christ's love and grace.

In light of COVID-19, all students and volunteers will wear a mask, practice social distancing, and get a temperature check when they first get to youth.

  • 2021 confirmation classes

2021 Confirmation classes will start on Sunday, January 31, from 9am-10am. Confirmation is an opportunity to respond to the grace of God available to us, as acknowledged in baptism, and to promise to live as a person of faith. It’s a great opportunity for your student to learn more about the basics of our faith and denomination and determine whether they want to claim the faith as their own. If you would like your student to go through this process, please take a moment to fill out the online registration form by Sunday, January 24.

Please note that every student will be accompanied by an adult mentor during classes. We do this so that students can ask questions and have an adult who is walking with them through the process. Mentors must be adults of the same gender, but not a family member. They also must be someone who has been active at Foundation for at least the last 6 months. We like to have parents make suggestions of mentors during the registration process so that students are paired with trusted adults already in their life. Once Gary and I have reviewed your registration we will contact you and give you the go ahead to ask your preferred mentor. We do it this way because it’s often hard for an adult to say no to mentoring when a student asks them 😉.

Confirmation Sunday will be on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021 during the 10am worship service. More information about the confirmation process can be found at the UMC online site. If you have other questions, please feel free to reach out.

  • 30 hour famine

February 26-27, 2021 we will be doing a 30 Hour Famine event for all students 6th-12th grade. This is a FREE youth event where students go without food for 30 hours and fundraise for World Vision to help children in poverty. Each student is required to fundraise at least $20. We will meet Friday night from 6-10pm, and then from 9am-7pm on Saturday. Juice will be provided during the event and students are strongly encouraged not to eat when they return home Friday night. We will play games, worship, learn about poverty in our world, and do a service project. We will break our fast on Saturday night with communion followed by a big meal.

Registration will be open after the new year and every student who is registered will receive a fundraising packet. The student who fundraises the most will receive a pair of AirPods!

*Please note that any student who has nutritional health issues will not be required to fast for 30 hours. If you believe your student qualifies, we can coordinate snacks during the weekend.

  • generate youth camp

Generate Youth Camp is for all current 6th-12th grade students, and will be July 11-17, 2021 in Estes Park, CO. During camp we will be participating in recreation, doing bible study and worshiping together, as well as listening to a dynamic speaker. The total cost is $450 but those who paid a deposit last year have a reduced price. I often tell parents, that if their student can only come to one big youth group event, then make it camp. Camp often allows God to work in the hearts of students and draw them closer to Him and to each other. Please take a moment to read the special instructions below so you know what to pay and when to pay it:

If you paid the $150 camp deposit back in 2020:

    • Register your student for Generate Camp 2021.
    • Pay $150 deposit by January 24, 2021.
    • Pay final amount of $150 by May 16, 2021.

If you did NOT pay the $150 camp deposit back in 2020:

    • Register your student for Generate Camp 2021.
    • Pay $150 deposit by January 24, 2021.
    • Pay final amount of $300 by May 16, 2021.

If you fully paid for your student back in 2020:

    • Register your student for Generate Camp 2021.
    • No other deposit amounts are needed.

As we get closer to our camp dates I will communicate further instructions and send out release forms. Please note that because the way Generate coordinates deposits, Foundation will be unable to offer any refunds.
